About the Role

The Software Engineer will work collaboratively with engineering management, product managers and other software engineers to develop new product offerings and improve existing installed or SAAS solutions for clients within the financial services industry. Develop and coordinate estimates for software defects, new features, and enhancements that are included in service releases. Participate in discussions regarding new product development and product enhancements. Design, document, code and deploy new features and defects for system related issues, including the creation of T-SQL queries, creation of web services, client-side JavaScript (including jQuery), and .NET development. Participate in high-level estimates for proposed projects, poker planning for future features, and task estimates for software defects and features at sprint planning. Telecommuting available anywhere in the United States. Annual salary between $103,605 - $138,500.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new product offerings and enhance existing solutions for clients in the financial services industry.
Design, document, code, and deploy new features and resolve system-related defects, including creating T-SQL queries, web services, and client-side JavaScript.
Participate in project planning activities such as high-level estimates, poker planning for future features, and sprint planning for tasks and defect fixes.
Coordinate estimates for software defects, new features, and enhancements included in service releases.
Engage in discussions regarding new product development and product enhancements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years (36 months) of experience working in an AGILE and SCRUM software development environment.
Experience building Web applications using Angular.JS for front-end development.
Experience developing SPA (Single Page Applications) using Angular JS and Bootstrap CSS.
Proficiency in designing Wireframes based on product requirements and creating User Interface Screens.
Experience writing and modifying client-side code, including creating Custom Controls and User Controls using Dependency Properties.
Knowledge of ASP.NET MVC 5, SQL Server, Web API, Visual Studio, .NET, HTML, C#, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, AJAX, React JS, React Flux Architecture, and Redux Animations.

Nice to Have

Experience with financial services industry applications.
Knowledge of additional front-end frameworks or libraries beyond those listed.
Experience with cloud-based deployment and SaaS solutions.
