About the Role

As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, you will use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to help deliver solutions. You will work with and learn from the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability. This role involves identifying potential risks, contributing to solution development, and creating efficient and effective systems for clients, with a focus on mission-forward impact and career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use architectural approaches and open-source frameworks to deliver solutions.
  • Work with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites.
  • Identify potential risks and contribute to solution development.
  • Develop systems with consistent performance and scalability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a full stack developer for DoD projects, programming in multiple languages including Java and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Ability to integrate complex software into multifunctional systems.
  • Ability to perform Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using tools like Jenkins and Git.
  • Ability to implement software design and testing best practices.
  • Secret clearance.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain an IAT II level certification within 120 days of hire date.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with frontend and backend software development, programming in Redux, Electron, Material UI, and CSS or SCSS.
  • Experience unit testing with Jest or Vitest, React Test Library, and Junit.
  • Experience with npm and Maven.
  • Experience with software defined radios and tactical radios.
  • Experience with Navy software design projects.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience planning and scheduling complex software tasks.
  • Experience implementing software installation processes.
  • Experience developing certificate management software.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain an IAT II level certification within 120 days of hire.
