As a Software Engineer within PNC's Technology - Corporate & Institutional Banking organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Birmingham, AL, or Dallas, TX. You will work on the Healthcare Imaging (HCI) team, developing and maintaining software solutions related to healthcare imaging and data processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive images of Explanation of Benefits (EOB), on behalf of healthcare clients, and use IOCR (Intelligent Optical Character Recognition) technology and in-house applications to create industry standard files for input to the Healthcare Advantage (HCA) platform.
  • Work on an Agile Kanban team to develop, maintain, and enhance AnyDoc Templates.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and QA Testers.
  • Work with Private Health Information (PHI) and will need HIPAA training/certification.
  • Problem solve to determine best course of action related to IOCR efficiency.
  • Develop, test, and implement software solutions.
  • Design software solutions to address business needs.
  • Write code, test, and deploy software.
  • Prepare technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintain and debug software.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a software engineering role.
  • Application Development, Business Management, Customer Solutions, Design, Group Problem Solving, Process Improvements, Release Management, Software Solutions, User Experience (UX) Design.
  • Application Design, Architecture, Application Development Tools, Application Maintenance, Application Testing, Packaged Application Integration, System Development Life Cycle, Technical Troubleshooting, Technical Writing/Documentation.
  • Typically require a university/college degree with 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
  • Basic understanding of working with Private Health Information (PHI) and HIPAA training/certification.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data processing and OCR technologies.
  • Experience with in-house applications related to healthcare platforms.
