Key Responsibilities

  • Management and development of the team
  • Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions
  • Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
  • Coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development
  • Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance. Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Must have strong design experience/skills
  • Must have a background in embedded C++
  • Must have hardware/software integration experience
  • Must have excellent communication and teaming skills to work with multiple disciplines

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of modern US defense systems specifically focused on EO/IR and laser systems
