About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to support large-scale, complex software engineering initiatives. In this role, you will consult on strategic projects, analyze multifaceted technical challenges, and contribute to the design and development of data-driven applications on Teradata and Google Cloud Platform. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-scale applications using ETL tools (Ab Initio, SSIS), Teradata/SQL Server, and Google BigQuery.
Analyze and resolve complex software engineering challenges involving multiple systems and stakeholders.
Provide technical consultation on architecture, design patterns, and best practices for cloud-based data solutions.
Collaborate with client teams to ensure alignment with business goals, compliance requirements, and delivery timelines.
Drive continuous improvement through automation, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.

Requirements

7+ years of software engineering experience, including experience working with Teradata.
5+ years of experience with ETL tools (Ab Initio preferred).
5+ years of advanced SQL development.
3+ years of experience with cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform.
3+ years of experience with Google BigQuery.
Demonstrated experience in consulting, training, military service, or education equivalent to the above.

Nice to Have

5+ years of experience with Spark and Python.
3+ years of experience with DevOps practices and cloud deployment automation.
3+ years working in Agile development environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Industry-recognized cloud certification (e.g., Google Cloud Platform Professional Data Engineer).
Proven ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Experience managing escalations and driving resolution across teams.
