The role involves working within FanDuel's Trading Solutions team as a Software Engineer, contributing to high-quality software development and delivery in a collaborative, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a cross-functional scrum team to implement creative, high-quality solutions in two-week sprints.
  • Collaborate with team members to scope effort and timelines, and balance stakeholder and engineering priorities.
  • Take ownership of testing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining software throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Engage in technical discussions, assist in implementing solutions, and pair program with other engineers.
  • Continuously improve systems and contribute to the overall quality of software products.

Requirements

  • Strong backend development skills, specifically in C#.
  • Experience writing software in C#.
  • Exposure to cloud-based software engineering tools like AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins, Redis or Memcached, Kafka or RabbitMQ, Datadog or Sentry, NUnit or Moq.
  • Understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into high-quality software.
  • A passion for learning and professional growth.
  • Willingness to engage with team members and stakeholders as needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with technical discussions and collaborative problem-solving.
