Job Description

About the Role

Rincon Research Corporation seeks a Software Engineer to create cutting edge software and cloud computing solutions to challenging national security and defense signal processing, geolocation, and communication problems. The role involves working in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists/engineers, supporting national security initiatives and developing innovative signal processing and geolocation systems for the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing real-time cloud processing solutions for signal processing and geolocation applications.
  • Implementing advanced signal processing and geolocation algorithms with efficient software.
  • Testing software with real data and providing applications to front-line customer facilities.
  • Creating effective user interfaces and data visualization tools.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies and experimenting with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
  • Working across all functional areas including systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and operations and maintenance.
  • Proposing improvements to applications and frameworks.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision and self-starting on projects.

Requirements

  • Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Proficient in modern software engineering practices for testability and readability.
  • Proficient in C++ and Python in LINUX environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to design software systems to ensure functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED.

Nice to Have

  • DevOps and Cloud computing Experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP).
  • Experience with Agile development processes.
  • Current TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

  • Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
