About the Role

Parsons is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join their Federal Solutions team, delivering resources and solutions to US government customers in areas such as defense, security, intelligence, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and extend core components of a modular platform framework, including frontend interfaces and backend services.
Build secure, scalable APIs and microservices that enable integration between data services, visualization tools, and external systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, DevOps engineers, and system integrators to ensure seamless interoperability.
Design and implement user interfaces and workflows for data exploration and interaction, working in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
Leverage cloud-native architectures (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) to deploy and scale services in secure, compliant environments.
Participate in agile development cycles, peer reviews, and system testing to ensure code quality and platform stability.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in full-stack software development or system-level software engineering.
Proficiency in backend languages like Python, Java, or Node.js, and frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, working with message queues, and integrating third-party services.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD practices.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS or Azure, and modern deployment pipelines.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with federal data security standards and DoD/DHS software compliance frameworks.
Experience integrating with data storage solutions (e.g., S3, RDS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Exposure to DevSecOps workflows and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
Understanding of authorization/authentication standards (OAuth2, OpenID, SAML).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
3+ years of relevant experience.
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
