The Software Engineer Intern - Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) will support the development of software and system components for the Excelsius™ IONM product, involving building prototypes, assisting in data collection and preparation for AI-based signal processing models, and contributing to production-quality solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the development and maintenance of Excelsius™ IONM software and systems.
Contribute to building prototypes, proofs of concept, and scalable production-level solutions.
Support the collection and processing of monitoring data for AI-driven learning models.
Demonstrate a strong passion for software development, craftsmanship, and test-driven development.
Effectively plan, track, and communicate development efforts, independently or as part of a team.
Adhere to software development standards, processes, and best practices to ensure high-quality, scalable software.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to influence and enhance product development.
Comply with the company's Code of Conduct, AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all relevant internal policies.
Maintain compliance with applicable domestic and international laws, regulations, and training requirements.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
Experience with .NET C# in Windows and/or web-based environments.
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and ES6 JavaScript.
Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React is a plus.
Experience with Git or other version control systems is a plus.
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of MATLAB or Python, with the ability to perform simple data manipulation, scripting, or analysis tasks is a plus.

Nice to Have

Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React.
