As a Software Engineer on the Developer Experience team, you will build the foundational pieces for all DoorDash Mobile applications, including runtime libraries, build systems, and development tools. You will work closely with engineers, technical product managers, and engineering managers across all parts of the organization to deliver impactful initiatives and foster a culture of mentorship and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain foundational libraries, build systems, and development tools for DoorDash mobile applications.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and leaders to deliver large-scale initiatives that improve developer workflows.
Mentor and engage with mobile engineers to promote best practices and technical excellence.
Design and implement solutions that enhance the productivity and reliability of mobile development processes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive impactful projects and initiatives.

Requirements

2+ years of Android development experience.
Experience with Gradle or other mobile build systems.
A product mindset applied to building platform services.
Strong interest in systems, software, and working with people.
Curiosity and ability to dive deep into system architectures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with building or working on mobile development tools and libraries.
Familiarity with other mobile platforms or cross-platform development.
Experience working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.
