Our team is searching for a Software Engineer to work with a team of other software engineers, network and systems engineers to craft, implement, and deploy software which meet customer's requirements, scales easily, removes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. We participate and lead in architecture and design of various software components using technologies such as virtualization, micro services, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms and technologies. We work on technical assignments that are semi routine or greenfield in nature, but recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. Key Responsibilities

  • Supports engineering projects by developing software solutions; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations; supervising associate engineers on occasion.
  • Understands system protocols, system operations, and data flows; independently develops a complete software stack; engages in independent study of current technologies.
  • Applies ML techniques to detect anomalies in system logs, metrics, and traces, reducing mean time to detection (MTTD) and mean time to resolution (MTTR).
  • Collaborates with technical teams and uses system expertise to deliver technical solutions.
  • Continuously learns new technologies.
  • Writes basic documentation on how technology works; documents systems designs, presentations, and business requirements.
  • Contributes to emerging technologies to support business goals.
  • Demonstrates understanding of current technologies, system protocols, and data flows; collaborates with system engineers to define system and automation requirements.
  • Presents new ideas to improve existing systems, processes, or services using new frameworks; reviews current processes for potential refinement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 2-4 years of technical engineering experience
  • Experience in developing Kubernetes native applications
  • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and AlertManager
  • Proficiency in Golang and Python, shell scripting, and Docker containers
  • Proficient with Git, DevOps practices, and Helm charts
  • Experience in Infrastructure as code with Helm charts, Ansible or Terraform
  • Proficient in Linux system administration
  • Communication skills

  • Analytics skills
  • Technical writing skills
  • At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Travel required

Nice to Have

  • Experience in developing and deploying scalable, highly available software solutions

  • Experience with automation and system requirements definition
