About the Role

Snowflake is a global organization developing a cloud data platform that is effective, affordable, and accessible to all data users. The company combines data warehousing, big data platform flexibility, and cloud elasticity at a fraction of traditional costs. The Analyst Product Experience team (APEX) builds the experiences that serve the majority of Snowflake users, including query authoring, result viewing, dashboard creation, and data analysis. The team is focused on building widely used experiences for analysts and enhancing the user experience within Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities

Drive high impact initiatives that span product areas and tech stack including NodeJS, Java, and JavaScript (React).
Promote strong collaboration within a cross functional team, including design and product management.
Deliver features requiring close coordination with sister teams such as data sharing, native applications, billing, and cloud infrastructure.
Be a strong contributor to the product vision and drive team planning.
Build for scale and high performance.

Requirements

2+ years hands-on software development experience, including significant experience in backend or full stack software development.
Deep understanding of modern web applications design architecture, good API design patterns, security, performance, and scale.
Demonstrated technical leadership experience, such as being an architect or tech lead for high impact customer facing projects.
Motivation to drive impact and strive for excellence, with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of data development tools, data infrastructure, or machine learning.

Qualifications

Experience in backend or full stack software development.
Technical leadership experience, such as being an architect or tech lead for customer-facing projects.
