About the Role

Join Lockheed Martin Space as a Software Engineer working on the FBM Mk7 missile system in Littleton, CO. This role involves developing mission-critical flight software within a team dedicated to advancing space technology, supporting national security, and fostering innovation in the space domain. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop flight software for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) system, including requirements, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
  • Join a team of Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) and software engineers to design and develop mission-critical GNC subsystems.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle to ensure system functionality and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Previous C++ or Python development and testing experience.
  • Active Interim Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • Understanding of processor and microprocessor firmware (non-OS based).
  • Experience with processor firmware and software (OS based), including software drivers and firmware wrappers.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent team orientation and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in missile or satellite software systems.

Qualifications
