The role involves supporting the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program, which has supported the Navy's mission for over 60 years to provide strategic defense, and is experiencing significant growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Join the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Avionics organization to develop flight software for the missile system.
  • Design and develop mission critical Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) subsystems for the FBM program.
  • Incorporate all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, or related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
  • Previous C++ or Python development/test experience.
  • Active Interim Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in processor and microprocessor firmware (non-OS based).
  • Experience in processor firmware and software (OS based) - software drivers and firmware wrappers.
  • Understanding of missile or satellite software systems.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent team orientation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills with management and peers.
