Software Engineer I

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborating with Senior Software Engineering staff to deliver high-quality code in a timely manner.
• Analyzing problems and providing support for manufacturing and other business processes.
• Learning and applying the Perl and/or Ruby Programming Language (training provided for candidates with basic logic understanding through coursework or experience in another language).

Requirements

• 0-2 years' experience in software development.
• Ability to interact effectively with senior staff programmers and managers.
• Creative and practical problem-solving skills.
• Experience in code documentation and debugging.
• Good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Knowledge of code versioning and issue tracking software.
• Proficiency in Perl or similar languages such as Ruby, Python, PHP, JavaScript, etc.
• Understanding of database concepts and queries (Oracle, MySQL, etc.).
• Experience with Linux OS and basic Linux commands.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or an Associate's degree in Computer Science with practical experience preferred.
