Software Engineer II

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers, data scientists, and senior software engineers to translate requirements into detailed designs.
• Partner with data scientists and data analysts to drive performance improvements for applications and models.
• Proactively troubleshoot applications and identify performance and availability issues, providing effective resolution options.
• Tune performance and resolve availability issues of products, services, and dependencies.
• Manage real-time or near real-time data processing.
• Increase code quality through writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Collaborate with other software engineers and teams on code reviews, development infrastructure, and process enhancements.
• Grow, push boundaries, and learn new things to apply to the team’s work.
• Write clean, maintainable Python code.
• Participate in AGILE/SCRUM processes.
• Work directly on a product suite that drives significant revenue and cost-saving impacts.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience collaborating in a team environment shipping software.
• Proficient in creating applications and features in object-oriented and functional programming environments.
• Experience with database objects in relational databases (e.g., MS SQL, Oracle, Postgres) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Proficient with GIT for version control.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/GED.

• Exposure developing containerized applications (Docker).
• Experience with LLMs and Generative AI tooling.
