The role of a Full-Stack Software Engineer on the Web Core team involves building core web functionalities, supporting web development standards, and contributing to backend services to support the company's growth and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting in building new experiences for the Greenlight website by collaborating with domain teams, product managers, and designers.
Contributing to supporting all web development within Greenlight, including defining standards, best practices, and technology choices.
Scaling and maintaining backend services to support new features and a growing user base.
Improving the reliability and availability of the platform that supports families and partners.
Working in a collaborative team to deliver high-quality web products, balancing new development with technical debt.

Requirements

BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
3+ years of software development experience
Experience building single page applications using a modern framework
Experience building REST APIs
Recent experience building backend services using node.js
Ability to context switch frequently in a fast-paced environment
An eye towards performance, scalability, and observability
Understanding of the build/measure/learn process and lean startup skills

Nice to Have

Kotlin experience

Qualifications

Educational background: BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience with modern web frameworks and backend development
Familiarity with technologies such as React, NextJS, Remix, Tailwind, Cypress, REST, Express, AWS, Kubernetes (EKS)
