About the Role

The Software Engineer III at Consumer Direct Care Network is responsible for developing and architecting complex website and cloud infrastructure solutions on Azure, contributing to enterprise-level internal business applications. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, leading technical discussions, providing guidance and code reviews, and staying current with emerging technologies. The position supports the company's mission to provide home and community-based services across 14 states, emphasizing care, innovation, and professional growth within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of complex website architectures.
Architect and implement advanced cloud infrastructure solutions on Azure, including Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps, Cosmos noSQL, Data Factory, Event Grid, HyperSQ, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Design and implement scalable, high-performance applications.
Lead medium-sized projects and mentor junior team members.
Contribute to technical decision-making and system design.
Develop and maintain coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions.
Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Optimize application performance and resource utilization.
Design and develop complex APIs.
Contribute to the design of the overall system architecture.
Independently shepherd user stories through the entire SDLC.
Lead story refinement sessions and effectively break down business requirements.
Create comprehensive acceptance criteria and technical specifications.
Guide junior engineers in story development and implementation.
Ensure proper test coverage and documentation throughout the SDLC.
Facilitate collaboration between development, QA, and product teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
4-7 years of experience in software development.
Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies and design patterns.
Expertise in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
Strong understanding of cloud computing and microservices architecture.
Experience with Agile development practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Reliable internet connection if working remote/hybrid.

Nice to Have

Experience with Azure cloud services such as Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps, Cosmos noSQL, Data Factory, Event Grid, HyperSQ, AKS.
Experience leading medium-sized projects.
Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
4-7 years of experience
