The role involves joining our team in Centennial, CO as a Software Developer III, contributing technical expertise, designing scalable software solutions, mentoring developers, and understanding business processes to define and implement technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and work with software development teams, providing technical expertise and direction.
  • Research, design, and implement solutions that meet business requirements, considering scalability, performance, cost, and security.
  • Work with and mentor other developers and engineers, ensuring solutions are delivered in line with standards.
  • Communicate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop, suggest, and adhere to coding standards and best practices, and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve development processes.
  • Identify and solve complex technical issues.
  • Guide in maintaining legacy software.
  • Understand business processes and the role of IT solutions; assist in defining requirements, evaluating alternatives, designing, building, and documenting solutions.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant, progressive information technology experience.
  • Proficiency in .NET (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET), SQL, Angular, HTML, CSS.
  • Experience developing and maintaining desktop applications with Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience working on projects involving defining, creating, or manipulating Geometry in 3D.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps for source code management and CI/CD.
  • Strong background in Mathematics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve software defects using analytical skills.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with a commitment to growing technical skills and discovering better solutions.
  • Understanding and application of the company's key behaviors and core values.
  • Ability to develop productive business relationships through cooperation, courtesy, and professionalism.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodology.

Nice to Have

  • Academic instruction or background in principles of structural/civil engineering.
  • Exposure to engineering analysis software, construction drawings, and layout design.
  • Experience with 3D graphics engines such as DirectX, OpenGL, or similar tools.
  • Software development experience with 3D graphics and ray casting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant IT experience.
