About the Role

As a software engineer, you will work on specific projects critical to Google Cloud's needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. Key Responsibilities

Write and test product or system development code.
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience programming in Golang or Python.
2 years of experience building and developing infrastructure or distributed systems.
2 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, continuous integration, or delivery.
Experience building or interacting with Generative AI or Applied AI applications.

Nice to Have

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
2 years of experience in building or managing distributed systems or cloud infrastructure, focusing on Kubernetes.
Passion for AI coding tools and Agentic experiences

Qualifications

Formal educational background includes at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Benefits & Perks

US base salary range of $141,000-$202,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
Role-specific compensation determined by role, level, and location.
Additional factors such as work location, skills, experience, and education influence pay.
