About the Role

The Ads Platform Engineering organization builds advertising systems and integrations that power ad delivery using Netflix's content delivery ecosystem, focusing on member experience, advertiser outcomes, and brand safety. The Delivery & Platform Foundations team develops the control plane for ad serving, enabling seamless integration, automation, and management of delivery components, and collaborates with various partner teams to facilitate effective ad serving and build foundational tools for the larger Ads Platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build applications to enable the efficient creation, monitoring, and management of delivery objects in the ads ecosystem.
  • Develop applications to facilitate the setup and execution of ads on Live Events.
  • Provide transparency on campaign performance and deliver actionable insights to users.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Ads Platform (Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Design) to build leverageable solutions.
  • Contribute to solutions that benefit wider Netflix engineering efforts beyond the Ads team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience, with at least 4+ years in the Ads domain.
  • Broad knowledge of ad tech, programmatic advertising, and digital marketing trends.
  • Familiarity with the full campaign lifecycle—from pre-flight setup to post-flight reporting.
  • Understanding of key campaign aspects such as Audiences, Creatives, Measurement, Forecasting, Ad Serving, Reporting, Billing, and OMS.
  • Experience developing cloud-based applications and proficiency with modern programming languages (preferably object-oriented).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Nice to Have

  • Contributed to an ads industry technology standard (e.g., VAST, OpenRTB) or worked on industry consortium efforts.
  • Familiarity with legal compliance and evolving ads regulations worldwide.
  • Experience working in the CTV space and understanding its unique constraints.
  • Experience working with ads on Live content.
