As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, Miamisburg, OH, Jacksonville, FL, Downers Grove IL, or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
  • Facilitates complex problem resolution.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
  • Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.

Requirements

  • Experience in Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, and Implementation of applications on Java, Spring Hibernate, AWS Cloud, Angular technologies.
  • Experience in Spring Framework such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Batch, Spring Resources, and Spring JDBC.
  • Experience of application development for Cloud platforms using technologies like Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Microservices.
  • Experienced in SOA and Web Services technologies, including Restful, JAX-WS, JAX-RPC, Axis, Soap, XML, and WSDL.
  • Experienced with developing rich user interface applications using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, jQuery, Angular 9, XML, and JSON that follow W3C Web Standards and are browsers compatible.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, SonarQube, Maven, and Github, Bitbucket.
  • Worked in container-based technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Experience in developing SQL, Stored Procedures, functions, and triggers using Oracle and comfortable working with databases like MongoDB, Oracle and Redis.
  • Experience in data aggregation and search using ElasticSearch.
  • Experience in setting up Application Metrics dashboards using Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Grafana.

Qualifications

  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
