About the Role

As a software engineer at Booz Allen, you'll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify system improvements, and help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. This role involves developing software and systems from vision to production-ready, working in a fast, agile environment to create solutions that make a difference and shape systems for the better.

Key Responsibilities

Develop software and systems from vision to production-ready state.
Use architectural approaches, tools, and technologies to overcome client challenges.
Ensure solutions consider current architecture, operating environment, and future enhancements.
Identify needed system improvements and implement them.
Work collaboratively with team members to shape better systems.

Requirements

2+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java or JEE.
Experience with backend frameworks like Spring Framework or Spring Boot.
Experience with API development, including REST architectural style.
Experience with Linux OS and command line interface.
Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
HS diploma or GED.
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date.

Nice to Have

Experience with network security, including access and authorization for PKI and chain trusting.
Experience with writing unit tests and end-to-end testing.
Experience with Non-Relational Databases, including MongoDB.
Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Git, and GitLab.
Knowledge of Apache NiFi and Kafka.
Ability to investigate root causes and provide corrective actions.
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including Security+ or CISSP Certification.

Qualifications

Ability to obtain DoD 8570 Compliant Certification within 6 months.
