About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Join an agile team engaged in the design, development, and testing of data-center features in the Cisco 8000 Platform using SONiC network operating system.
• Design, develop, and learn about feature sets such as L2/L3 forwarding, ACLs, QoS, Mirroring, etc.
• Contribute to end-to-end product development and production support for networking solutions.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in C++ and Python programming.
• 2 years of experience using debugging tools such as GDB and PDB.
• 2 years of experience with networking protocols.
• MS/BS degree in CS/EE/CE or technical equivalent.
• Experience in building and delivering data plane and control plane software.
• Experience with forwarding and services data plane feature sets.
• Comfortable working with multi-disciplinary, multicultural, and geographically dispersed teams.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge in Open Standard Networking Systems and APIs such as SONiC, SAI.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, VxLAN, EVPN.
• Experience with tools like GIT, Jira, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Network Operating Systems in the Linux user space.
