About the Role

Palantir builds the world's leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more. As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to high-impact products deployed at important institutions worldwide, working within small, collaborative teams focused on specific aspects of Palantir's product suite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build software at scale to transform how organizations use data.
  • Contribute high-quality code directly to Palantir Gotham, Palantir Apollo, or Palantir Foundry.
  • Create features used by research scientists, aerospace engineers, intelligence analysts, and economic forecasters.
  • Participate throughout the product lifecycle—from idea generation, design, and prototyping to execution and shipping.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand customer problems and develop solutions.
  • Meet with users, such as auto-manufacturers or counter-terror analysts, to better understand their missions and challenges.

Requirements

  • Engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
  • Experience coding in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Ability to write clean, effective code and learn new languages quickly.
  • Active US Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.

Nice to Have

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of individuals, including engineers, users, and non-technical team members.
  • Willingness to learn and make decisions independently, and ask questions effectively.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.

Benefits & Perks

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their eligible dependents.
  • Voluntary life insurance, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance coverage.
  • Commuter benefits and relocation assistance.
  • Paid time off including two weeks at year-end, 10 paid holidays, and a supportive leave of absence program.
  • Paid leave for new parents and subsidized back-up care.
  • Fertility and family building benefits including adoption, surrogacy, and preservation.
  • Stipend to help with expenses related to a new child.
  • Enrollment in Palantir's 401k plan.
