About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of software solutions using Java.
• Collaborate within an Agile development environment to deliver high-quality products.
• Work within the Google Cloud Platform environment to develop and deploy applications.
• Solve complex problems by applying core computer science principles such as data structures and algorithms.
• Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

Requirements

• Solid academic foundation in computer science or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated programming proficiency in Java through coursework, personal projects, or internships.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently.
• Fundamental familiarity with data concepts.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Eagerness to learn and work within the Google Cloud Platform environment.
• Participation in an Agile development methodology.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Prior exposure to cloud platforms, particularly GCP.
• Experience or coursework related to Python, AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
• Practical experience using data processing libraries or tools.
• Understanding of software testing principles.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Knowledge of Software Craftsmanship principles focusing on quality, clean code, and continuous improvement.
