Job Description

About the Role

This position is a member of the engineering team, developing software for medical information products to be located in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions in the healthcare and medical imaging domain, contributing to innovative healthcare solutions and regulatory compliance within a dynamic environment at FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement product features from internal and external customer requirements and clinical feedback.
  • Apply standard technologies to software design, implementation, and testing.
  • Work closely with other team members to coordinate assignments and communicate progress and/or difficulties.
  • Investigate and resolve complex runtime software issues received from varying sources in a timely manner.
  • Understand requirements both from user’s perspective and technical details.
  • Manage personal project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Develop new and maintain existing code and design.
  • Provide input, solutions, and recommendations.
  • Participate in design and code reviews and understand and enforce the importance of coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, ISO 13485 standards, and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Requirements

  • BS or BE in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and strong software development discipline.
  • Experience in designing and developing complex software components.
  • Ability to identify debugging strategies in complex software environments.
  • Familiarity with requirements analysis, design control documentation, revision control, and bug tracking tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Exposure to product development including ASP.NET Webforms, Object Oriented Design using .NET Technologies, MVC, MVVM, and related patterns.
  • Skilled in investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of performance issues.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with MVC, Razor, SignalR.NET, TypeScript, Angular.js, ASP.NET Core.
  • Familiarity with testing tools like Postman, LoadRunner, Fiddler, dotTrace Profiler.
  • Experience with Telerik ASP.NET Ajax Toolkit.
  • Knowledge of Entity Relationship Modeling and Relational Database Principles.
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM work practices.

  • Educational background with BS or BE in Computer Science or related field.
