About the Role

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to support the software engineering lifecycle for space-related programs. The role involves requirements analysis, object-oriented design, coding, unit testing, integration, and support for formal testing and delivery. The company focuses on innovation, resiliency, and forming global partnerships to advance space technology and ensure security and prosperity in space exploration and security.

Key Responsibilities

Support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP).
Perform requirements analysis, object-oriented analysis & design, coding, and unit testing.
Assist with integration, formal testing, and delivery of software products.
Design software solutions in accordance with requirements and architecture.
Collaborate with team members in an Agile development environment.

Requirements

Experience with programming languages such as C and C++.
Knowledge or classroom experience with embedded software and hardware.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Active/Final Secret security clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Agile Software Development.
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Experience designing to software requirements.
Experience with full software life cycle development including design, architecture, and testing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience or classroom knowledge with embedded software/hardware.
Active/Final Secret Clearance.
