The position is primarily based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX, with responsibilities requiring time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.

Key Responsibilities

Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
Proposes and designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
Writes code, tests and deploys software.
Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
Maintains and debugs software.

Requirements

Advanced proficiency in SQL with complex queries using Teradata/Oracle/SQL Server.
Working knowledge of Python preferred along with exposure to automating data validations.
Multiple years of experience working with large scale Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Integration, Data Migration and upgrade projects.
Skills and interest in reviewing data models, data mapping documents, ETL design, and ETL coding, with ability to provide feedback to Dev/Tech teams.
Experience in data scripting languages such as Python or Informatica/ETL.
Experience in developing data warehouse test strategies, test plans, and test cases for data warehouses and decision-support systems.
Strong desire to find bugs.
Knowledge of Data Visualizations concepts and reporting platforms (Tableau/OBIEE/R Shiny).
Understanding of REST API types (GET, PUT, POST, DELETE) and how they work.
Experience performing automated web-service validation for SOAP/REST services using SOAP UI or Karate Framework.
Strong working knowledge of API testing tools like POSTMAN, Rest Client, SOAPUI.
Experience with Cucumber, BDD methodology, Gherkin syntax, and Java IDE (e.g., Eclipse).
Experience with GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, HTTP, JSON protocol and syntax.

Nice to Have

Experience in application development, business management, customer solutions, design, group problem solving, process improvements, release management, user experience (UX) design.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.
Typically 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
Certifications are often desired but not required.
