About the Role

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to support the software engineering lifecycle for space-related programs. The role involves requirements analysis, object-oriented design, coding, testing, and integration, contributing to innovative space solutions that focus on resiliency, security, and advancing spacecraft technology. The position emphasizes collaboration across disciplines and supports the company's mission to harness space for security and prosperity.

Key Responsibilities

Support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP).
Perform requirements analysis, object-oriented analysis and design.
Develop code and conduct unit testing.
Assist with integration, formal testing, and delivery of software products.
Work with multi-disciplined teams to achieve project goals.

Requirements

Experience with programming languages such as C and C++.
Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as GreenHill or VxWorks.
Ability to work with multi-disciplined teams.
Experience with full software lifecycle development including design, architecture, and testing.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
Active/Final Secret security clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Agile Software Development.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Previous experience writing and designing to software requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
Experience with RTOS such as GreenHill or VxWorks.
Experience with full software development lifecycle.
