About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Python or Java-based services and applications that power our enterprise infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones to support both internal and external users.
• Build scalable systems that bridge high-level business logic with time-series production data and hardware.
• Tackle diverse technical challenges—from optimizing engineering workflows to integrating with modern manufacturing equipment.
• Contribute to a modern tech stack in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.
• Work at the intersection of software, aviation, and global collaboration, directly impacting aircraft operations.

Requirements

• A degree in (business) informatics, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
• Advanced, hands-on experience with Python or Java.
• Solid understanding and practical use of Docker, including containerization skills.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and building scalable web services.
• Deep experience with event-driven architecture, ideally using tools like Kafka.

Nice to Have

• Working proficiency with GitHub-based CI/CD workflows.
• Proficiency in databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with various file systems or cloud storage platforms.
• Comfortable working independently in globally distributed teams.
• Experience in agile development and fast-paced project environments.
• Background in production or manufacturing settings.

• Target base pay range of $132,200 - $197,900/year, depending on location, skills, and experience.
