About the Role

This position is with Lockheed Martin's Advanced Development Program (ADP), known as the historic Skunk Works, located in Marietta, GA. The role involves building mission systems software to advance the capabilities of manned and unmanned aircraft systems. The candidate will contribute to a tradition of creating advanced aircraft, working within a team that emphasizes innovation, agility, and cutting-edge technology. Key Responsibilities

  • Build airborne mission systems software to enhance the capabilities of manned and unmanned systems.
  • Use existing and developing skills in various software programming languages to develop mission-critical software systems.
  • Collaborate within an agile software team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Integrate disjoint software baselines from multiple programs and vendors.
  • Participate in DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and manage configuration with tools like Gitlab/Github.
  • Work in a Linux environment and utilize containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Podman.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Software development experience, particularly in C/C++ and Python is a benefit.
  • Networking experience, including UDP communication between software programs.
  • Experience working in DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Gitlab or Github.
  • Experience with software containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Podman.
  • Experience working on an agile software team.
  • Experience working in a Linux environment.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a government security clearance (Secret level).

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating disjoint software baselines from multiple programs and vendors.
  • Familiarity with decision making in software-defined systems.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Experience with MBSE tools like Cameo and modeling standards such as UML, UAF, SysML.
  • Experience with open systems, OMS/UCI, and service-based architectures.
  • Experience working on UAS or other uncrewed platforms such as UGV, USV, UUV.
  • Current secret security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or computer science field.
  • Experience with software development and networking.
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
