About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain foundational components to enable DoorDash Engineers to excel at all aspects of their software development lifecycle.
Play a foundational role in guiding the future of DoorDash's software development strategy, by building, extending, and operating a central platform used by all DoorDash engineering teams.
Be at the forefront of developing new technologies and have the opportunity to leverage and contribute to open source tech.
Work on cross-functional projects by designing large scale systems with engineering excellence, long-term maintainability, and risk in mind.
Work with a team of highly talented and motivated teammates.

Requirements

You are a builder and have 2+ years of experience working on backend platform and infrastructure teams.
Proficiency in at least one OOP language (Java, Kotlin, or Go).
Experience building & maintaining platform components at scale.
You apply a product mindset to platform problems and feel accomplished enabling others.
You strive for design simplicity and consistency above all else.
You solve problems using software to automate or prevent toil.

Nice to Have

Experience with open source technology contributions.
Experience working on large-scale systems with engineering excellence and maintainability.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in backend platform and infrastructure roles.
Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or Go.
