Job Description

About the Role

CACI is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Data Transport Product Support Sustainment Logistics Maintenance (DSLM) team in Colorado Springs, CO. The DSLM Contract maintains operational performance through a consolidated service of operations, site support, organizational and depot maintenance, sustainment, modifications, and factory/launch compatibility testing for the Satellite Control Network (SCN). The role involves supporting the development, testing, and documentation of software solutions to meet customer mission needs within a DoD environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases
  • Analyze (through demonstrations, proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
  • Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas
  • Support testing by writing and executing automated test scripts and unit tests

Requirements

  • BS Degree required plus 3+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Software development experience using C and/or C++, as well as at least one scripting language like Perl, Python, or TCL
  • Experience working in a Linux/Unix development environment
  • Experience writing and executing test scripts
  • Experience on DoD programs and interaction with government stakeholders
  • Experience using COTS tools: VersionOne, GitHub, SharePoint, Fortify
  • Knowledge of the Satellite Control Network (SCN)
  • Experience with RBC

  • Agile Software Development experience
  • Agile certifications (software development oriented)
