About the Role

Securian Financial is seeking an experienced developer to join our team in a hybrid role. The position involves supporting a range of software systems within an agile environment, utilizing technologies such as Java, Spring, Informatica, SQL Server, Oracle Insurance Policy Administration, and DB2. The role supports modernization efforts, application maintenance, and development for Life policy administration, distribution stakeholders, AWS Cloud, Application Managed Services, and enterprise solutions. The position offers flexibility with a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative and innovative culture.

Key Responsibilities

Perform analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and implementation activities of medium to high complexity.
Work to solve problems innovatively and with a test and learn mindset.
Provide ongoing support for business applications and respond to production needs.
Support modernization efforts such as Application Rationalization and optimizing applications on AWS.
Develop and maintain Individual Life business knowledge.
Ensure effective and favorable relationships are developed and maintained with key stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field).
Java experience of 1-3 years.
Strong collaborator and communicator.
Excellent problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

Java batch, Spring batch.
SQL Server, DB2.
Jira, GitHub, GitHub Actions.
JUnit.
Informatica.
AWS.

Qualifications

Educational background in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
