Key Responsibilities

Work closely with software engineers to build and maintain software applications.
Participate in training on the full software creation process, from design and build to testing and deployment.
Build scripts to automate parts of the software development process.
Learn debugging methodologies to investigate the root cause of software issues.
Involve in crafting technical/functional documents and reports as needed on certain projects.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a US-based University in a Master's degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Knowledge or experience with software engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming and scripting languages like Python, Windows PowerShell, Linux shell script, Perl, Java, Javascript, UML.
Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, especially Azure.
Experience with web development frameworks like Django, Rails, Spring Boot.
Understanding of markup languages such as HTML, XML, XSL.
Experience with defect tracking, testing, debugging.
Familiarity with version control tools like Git, Github, Perforce.
Knowledge of security technologies such as OAuth, SSL, or TLS.
Understanding of PC/CPU architecture, embedded systems, microcontrollers.

Nice to Have

Experience with cloud platforms beyond Azure.
Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks.
Previous internship or project experience in software development.

Qualifications

Enrollment in a Master's degree program in a relevant technical field.
