Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, test, and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture.
  • Perform ongoing security testing and code review to improve software security.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise.
  • Provide engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.
  • Contribute to all levels of the architecture and maintain technical documentation.
  • Consult team members on secure coding practices.
  • Develop a familiarity with new tools and best practices.

Requirements

  • At least twelve (12) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five (5) years of additional software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph.
  • One of the following certifications: AWS Certified Developer-Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or Elastic Certified Engineer.

Nice to Have

  • Willingness to support on-call status rotated throughout the team.
  • Familiarity with Git, Kubernetes, Docker, or comparable DevOps experience.
  • Familiarity with Spring Framework/Spring Batch.
  • Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
  • Familiarity with test frameworks such as Junit and Mockito.
  • Familiarity with UI frameworks such as ReactJS.
  • Familiarity with agency data flow formats and standards.
  • Familiarity with analyst toolkit applications.
  • Recent work experience with Java (Maven) with some Python.
  • Recent work experience with Streaming data frameworks (Flink, Spring Cloud Data Flow).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph.
