About the Role

As a Software Test Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of software solutions that drive our aerospace products and test solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure the efficient, timely completion of software projects. You will report directly to our Engineering Site Leader and work onsite out of our Olathe, Kansas location. In this role, you will impact the development of innovative aerospace technologies that enhance safety, efficiency, and performance in aviation. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions for aerospace applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine system requirements.
  • Ensure timely completion of software projects while adhering to quality standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software development for aerospace applications.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python, with a focus on embedded systems.
  • Experience with software development tools and environments specific to aerospace.
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status under asylum or refugee, due to U.S. export control laws.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly with avionics or flight systems.
  • Knowledge of software quality assurance processes and tools.
  • Experience with automated testing software development.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in aerospace software development.
  • Proficiency in C++, Java, or Python.
  • Experience with aerospace-specific software development tools and environments.
