Solutions Architect

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement innovative IT solutions to support DISA's mission-critical objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, program managers, and government stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical designs.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with DoD standards and DISA's strategic goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in IT architecture, systems engineering, or solutions design.
• 10+ years of experience working with DoD or federal IT environments.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex IT solutions in cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments.
• Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DoDAF).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or DoD Cloud) and associated services (e.g., EC2, S3, Azure AD).
• Familiarity with network design, virtualization, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with ITIL, DevSecOps, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
• Cybersecurity certifications like CISSP, CISM, or others.
• ITIL or TOGAF certification.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher required.
• Willingness to travel and reliable transportation.
