Sr. DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provision compute resources and manage IAM roles and subscriptions in the cloud.
• Build VPCs, private networks, network routes, and rules in the public cloud.
• Utilize modern monitoring tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, and Splunk for system monitoring.
• Manage systems using infrastructure as code tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, and ARM.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for DevSecOps functions.
• Deploy applications using tools like Udeploy, Starling, and Mario.
• Work with AWS or Azure cloud platform services including Jenkins, IAM, VPC, ECS, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.
• Create and maintain Docker files, manifest files, and Helm charts for different environments.
• Engineer, size, install, configure, and maintain mission-critical applications.
• Manage Azure Active Directory and Azure application deployment processes.
• Implement and operate monitoring, logging, and alerting services for distributed systems.
• Troubleshoot issues in the cloud using strong analytical and technical skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technology-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
• 12+ years of demonstrable experience in software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript.
• Solid experience working with public cloud platforms and cloud infrastructure.
• Cloud platform experience with certifications preferred (AWS or Azure).
• Experience provisioning compute resources and managing IAM roles and subscriptions.
• Experience building VPCs, private networks, and network routes in the cloud.
• Experience with modern monitoring tools like DataDog, Prometheus, and Splunk.
• Experience managing systems with infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or ARM.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for DevSecOps.
• Hands-on experience with deployment tools like Udeploy, Starling, and Mario.
• Knowledge of WS Cloud DevOps services including Jenkins, IAM, VPC, ECS, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of Docker containers and PaaS platforms such as Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher.
• Hands-on Kubernetes skills and knowledge.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory and Azure application deployment.
• Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, logging, and alerting skills for distributed systems.

Nice to Have

• Cloud platform certifications (AWS or Azure).
• Experience with orchestration tools like Helm Charts.
• Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technology-related field.
