About the Role

As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the efforts to maintain and improve the company's Cloud Infrastructure and CI/CS services. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our Cloud operations, as well as driving innovation and technology-driven solutions to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code methodology
Administer and optimize our CI/CD pipelines for builds and deployments
Manage our HashiCorp Vault implementation for secure secrets management across environments
Develop and maintain Terraform configurations in Terraform Cloud for consistent infrastructure provisioning
Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system reliability
Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment workflows and enhance developer experience
Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error
Lead incident response efforts and conduct post-incident reviews
Document infrastructure architecture, processes, and runbooks

Requirements

8+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles
Strong understanding of AWS services and architecture (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda)
Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation and team collaboration
Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting
Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly TeamCity
Working knowledge of HashiCorp Vault or similar secrets management systems
Solid scripting abilities in at least one language (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Experience with version control systems and Git workflows
Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices
Candidates must be local to Carlsbad, CA or willing to relocate. This is an onsite-only role.

AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code testing frameworks
Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
Understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices
Experience with monitoring tools and observability platforms
