Our team is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering experienced in Java development and AWS to lead our development teams and deliver software solutions. This is a superb opportunity for applicants that are proficient in Java full stack development, Oracle, APIs, and AWS development/deployment. The primary responsibility of this role will be to lead Agile development teams as they deliver secure and scalable solutions of the best quality. You will work within an Agile setting to grow and transform our applications related to our core proxy voting applications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead multiple Agile teams and oversee the development and delivery of our critical proxy voting solutions.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers to promote best practices and continuous learning.
Ensure the delivery of secure, resilient, and scalable code in a timely manner.
Define solutions and provide estimates on enhancement requests and future roadmap items.
Be a technology advocate, seeking opportunities where technology can be utilized to solve business problems.
Involvement in all phases of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering, solutioning, implementation, testing, deploying, supporting.
Work closely with the product/business organization to review product roadmaps, analyze requirements, provide estimates, ensure business benefit, and support the business process.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.
5+ years of experience leading Agile development teams.
8+ years of professional experience in Java development, with strong knowledge of Spring and AWS services.
Deep understanding of AWS services such as MSK (Kafka), Aurora Postgres, API Gateway, EKS, ECS, and S3.
Proficient in SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, API design.
Strong understanding of secure coding practices, relational databases, and DevOps.
Ability to navigate both strategic and day-to-day operational responsibilities.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with proxy voting applications or related financial services solutions.
Experience leading large-scale enterprise software projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience.

Salary range of $180,000 to $205,000 USD annually.
