About the Role

Senior Full Stack Developers - Web are focused on delivering high-quality user interfaces quickly. They use techniques like collaborative code reviews and test-driven development to ensure efficient coding. They are experts in frontend technologies and work to create seamless and engaging user experiences. While their primary focus is the frontend, they collaborate closely with backend engineers. They are expected to stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies and promote best practices in frontend development. They are defined by a passion for creating exceptional user interfaces, a deep understanding of user needs, and expertise in frontend code.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement complex user interfaces for web applications.
Build and scale web systems, focusing on the frontend architecture, using modern JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS, React, and related tools.
Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth data flow, and also help with API design to deliver a good user experience.
Optimize web applications for performance, accessibility, and usability.
Set a high bar for code quality, test coverage, and user experience for the frontend.
Drive improvements in frontend development processes, tools, and methodologies.
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, and other teams to deliver high-value features.
Contribute to the development of frontend architecture and best practices.

Requirements

A four-year degree or more in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of overall engineering experience.
Minimum 6+ years of dedicated experience in frontend web development.
Strong proficiency in React, Typescript, HTML, CSS, API design, and common data structures/algorithms.
Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating them into the frontend.
Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
Ability to drive projects end-to-end, demonstrate strong product sense, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong background in designing and architecting scalable and maintainable frontend solutions.
Experience in developing test strategies focused on the user interface and user experience.
Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycles, test methodologies, and a passion for quality in the user experience.
Learning mentality with the ability to pick up new skills as needed and demonstrate curiosity about new technologies.

Nice to Have

Experience with a Headless CMS (and ability to discuss pros/cons).
Experience with test automation, in a fast-paced startup environment, or as a startup founder/building your own product.
