Key Responsibilities

  • Determine the impact of new programs and ensure their compatibility with existing system operations.
  • Oversee development of system specifications through interaction with business users and sponsors.
  • Assist in projecting software and hardware requirements.
  • Oversee design, development, maintenance, testing, and debugging of software following SDLC guidelines.
  • Formulate and define project scope and objectives.
  • Lead the development, modification, and maintenance of software to meet company needs and user suggestions.
  • Prepare program documentation including administrator and end user help documents.
  • Direct other analyst/programmers; assign, prioritize, and monitor workload.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members.
  • Prepare status reports for the department manager.
  • Ensure successful completion of projects in conformance with goals and requirements.
  • Maintain proactive and cooperative relationships within the project team and remain accessible to team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with technology changes and direction.

Requirements

  • Nine (9) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five (5) years of program development experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of specialized programming relevant to program needs.
  • Working knowledge of claims management applications preferred.
