Key Responsibilities

Determine the impact of new programs and ensure their compatibility with existing system operations.
Oversee development of system specifications through interaction with business users and sponsors.
Assist in projecting software and hardware requirements.
Oversee design, development, maintenance, testing, and debugging of software following SDLC guidelines.
Formulate and define project scope and objectives.
Lead the development, modification, and maintenance of software to meet company needs and user suggestions.
Prepare program documentation including administrator and end user help documents.
Direct other analyst/programmers; assign, prioritize, and monitor workload.
Provide guidance and training to team members.
Prepare status reports for the department manager.
Ensure successful completion of projects in conformance with goals and requirements.
Maintain proactive and cooperative relationships within the project team and remain accessible to team members.
Stay up-to-date with technology changes and direction.

Requirements

Nine (9) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least five (5) years of program development experience.
A minimum of three (3) years of specialized programming relevant to program needs.
Working knowledge of claims management applications preferred.
