About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the engineering team, providing technical vision and long-term roadmap.
• Design and implement algorithms for real-time bidding, ad scoring/ranking, inventory selection, and yield optimization on the DSP.
• Hire, mentor, and grow a team of data scientists and ML engineers.
• Set technical direction, manage project roadmaps, and actively guide team execution.
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to translate business goals into ML requirements and ensure solutions meet cross-functional needs.
• Define and evangelize the ML roadmap for programmatic products.
• Present findings and roadmaps to senior leadership and work with stakeholders to align analytics projects with company goals such as privacy-first personalization and new DSP features.

Requirements

• M.S/PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• 7+ years of industry experience building production machine learning systems at scale, including data mining, search, recommendations, and natural language processing.
• Experience in programmatic advertising or information retrieval contexts such as RTB, DSP/SSP, search.
• Familiarity with ad campaign metrics, auction mechanics, and yield optimization.
• Excellent at cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication.

• Experience with real-time bidding, ad scoring/ranking, and yield optimization in DSP environments.
• Knowledge of privacy-first personalization and new DSP features.

Qualifications

• Educational background with a Master’s or PhD in relevant fields.

• Salary range: $250,545 - $438,454 USD, based on experience and location.
• Flexible work model with in-office collaboration 1-2 times per month in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Seattle, or Los Angeles.
