About the Role

Amazon Advertising is one of Amazon's fastest growing and most profitable businesses. It helps merchants, retail vendors, and brand owners succeed through native advertising, aiming to increase product sales on Amazon. The Creative X team within Amazon Advertising focuses on democratizing access to high-quality creatives by building AI-driven solutions using advanced models such as latent-diffusion, large language models, generative audio, computer vision, and reinforcement learning. The team is collaborative and composed of applied scientists, product managers, and engineers working at the forefront of their fields to deploy scalable, innovative generative AI models for advertising at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Applied Scientists and other MLE and Engineering team members to transform research code into production.
  • Own end-to-end deployment at scale of Generative and ML methods.
  • Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analysis, machine-learning model development, model validation, and serving.
  • Research new and innovative approaches for efficient model deployment and training.
  • Document processes and methods for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to code reviews.
  • Mentor and help recruit MLEs to the team.
  • Present outcomes and explain approaches to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

Nice to Have

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

  • Experience with large-scale data analysis and deployment of ML models.
