About the Role

This position acts as a critical support function to Associate Merchant Product Development (APDM). This role is responsible for driving the successful development and timely launch of home textile products. In this role, you will own the project management throughout the development lifecycle which will include maintaining detailed project trackers, overseeing all aspects of sku onboarding and sample management, and facilitating clear communication of project statuses across cross-functional teams, global sourcing offices, and vendors. The position also involves supporting cost negotiations, acting as a subject matter expert on the category, ensuring data integrity, conducting competitive research, and performing ad hoc projects. It requires effective collaboration and communication with Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Quality Assurance, Creative, and external vendors, with a focus on process improvement and timely product launches.

Key Responsibilities

Provide market, industry, and competitive expertise and analysis to drive product positioning, supporting marketing collateral development, new product launches, packaging, and brand messaging.
Serve as liaison between Business Development and Supplier Factories; maintain competitive benchmarking awareness with customers, sales, and marketing.
Provide copy, keywords, images, Q&A answers, and marketing language for homedepot.com, utilizing the THD Online Enrichment Process to enhance product listings.
Develop and improve internal processes to drive efficiencies for online data enrichment and onboarding, research data issues, and partner with IT and business teams to resolve them.
Track and report progress towards goals, proactively resolve issues to avoid delays, and escalate as required.

Requirements

Must be eighteen years of age or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
Proven experience in product development, preferably within home textiles or a related category.
Strong project management skills with a track record of driving results across multiple projects.
Ability to work independently, be flexible, and adapt to shifting priorities.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams and global vendors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new systems and processes.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

Nice to Have

Experience in product development within home textiles or related categories.
