About the Role

The Senior Product Manager of Digital will be pivotal in advancing Digital commerce capabilities and Omni Channel experiences by collaborating with stakeholders to create a strategic vision and leading a scrum team to bring this vision to life. This individual will be customer obsessed, leverage data to make qualitative and quantitative decisions around improvement opportunities that lead to increased funnel performance. The role requires strong product roadmapping experience, stakeholder management savvy, broad thinking across the customer journey, and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities

  • Determines requirements that support effective business processes, through improvements in technology or data practices. Manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritization activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity. Facilitates input from stakeholders, provides constructive challenge and enables effective prioritization of requirements.
  • Maintains a register of business requests. Prioritizes product requirements, develops product roadmaps and owns the product backlog. Monitors the external environment and assessment of emerging technologies. Contributes to creating a systems capability strategy aligned with the business function's strategic requirements.
  • Manages the product life cycle to meet user needs as defined by cross functional leadership.
  • Analyzes market and/or user research, feedback, expert opinion and usage data to understand needs and opportunities.
  • Facilitates adoption of products by developing content, supporting and evaluating training, and monitoring product performance. Manages user acceptance testing, pilots, and product launches.
  • Identifies the roles of affected stakeholder groups. Designs and facilitates a structured sequence of meetings, events or workshops to identify technical capabilities and business processes required to solve complex problems.
  • Plans user research activities and facilitates input from stakeholders. Selects techniques and tools to develop user stories and elicit user experience requirements in complex situations. Resolves potential conflicts between differing user requirements.
  • Identifies and describes the design goals for systems, products, services and devices. Translates concepts into prototypes; captures user feedback to improve designs; evaluates alternative design options.
  • Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships. Manages resolution of conflicts and the collection and dissemination of relevant information. Collects and uses feedback from stakeholders.
  • Provides guidance to financial analysts on IT process, service, project and component costs for financial planning, budgeting and forecasting. Develops and documents investment appraisals (ROIs, etc) for various projects. Monitors costs, times, quality and resources used and takes action where these exceed tolerances.
  • Develops acceptance criteria related to functional and non-functional requirements, business processes, features, user stories and business rules.
  • Provides training to IT operations resources; acts as escalation and communication point for business-impacting incidents, ensuring outages are communicated in a timely manner and in business language.

Requirements

  • 8+ years IT experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in product management or product ownership on an Agile team, preferably for a large retail company.
  • Experience using roadmap and agile project management tools (Jira, Aha).
  • Dedication to exceeding customer expectations and requirements.
  • BA or BAS degree in MIS, Computer Science or related area.
  • Experience with digital experience, omni-channel customer journey, analytics tools (GA, Power BI), and customer journey mapping & design (Figma, Miro).
  • Experience with digital commerce platforms (Commerce Tools, Salesforce, Adobe, Shopify), search and browse platforms (Algolia, Bloomreach, Constructor), recommendations platforms (Dynamic Yield, Constructor, Yopto), customer engagement platforms (Blueshift, Salesforce, Braze), digital analytics (Google, Adobe, Power BI), performance marketing (Google, Meta, TikTok), and experience testing tools (BrowserStack).
  • Strong experience defining product requirements, including functional and non-functional requirements across digital products.
  • Background in product roadmap management, both development and execution of long-term vision.
  • Ability to develop a clear understanding of customer needs, communicate effectively, build relationships, and bridge customer touchpoints.
