Sr. Product Manager - Network Infrastructure

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the product roadmap for networking infrastructure, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance, especially in relation to GPU cluster environments.
• Drive the design and implementation of cutting-edge network solutions, ensuring optimal performance for HPC and GPU-based applications.
• Work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure that network architecture meets the specific requirements for GPU clusters, including high-throughput and low-latency data transfers.
• Develop product specifications, tuning into a portfolio of networking products, SKU management, pricing, licensing (if applicable), cross team customer demand planning and roadmap.
• Conduct market research and engage with customers to understand needs, trends, and pain points in networking for GPU clusters. Translate these insights into product features and improvements.
• Collaborate with other product teams, marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product success.
• Manage relationships with networking hardware and software vendors, ensuring that the latest technologies are integrated into the product.
• Oversee budgetary planning, resource allocation, and project timelines for the networking product line, ensuring the highest ROI and alignment with company goals.
• Convey concepts and recommendations from C-level executives to working level peers with outstanding communication skills.
• Guide product definition using credit insights developed by interacting with end-customers, strategic partners, and by following usage, market, and economic trends.
• Understand how the P&L works for a >$1B business.

Requirements

• Strong background in networking technologies, experience with high-bandwidth, low-latency environments, and understanding of networks supporting distributed GPU clusters for AI, ML, and HPC workloads.
• Experience with networking technologies such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, SDN, InfiniBand.
• Expertise in high-speed networking protocols and hardware.
• Familiarity with cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including hybrid network environments.
• Experience with GPU clusters for AI, deep learning, or scientific computing applications.
• Knowledge of RDMA, NVMe over Fabrics, and related technologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business value.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects from concept through deployment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) in relation to network design for GPU infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with networking hardware, AI infrastructure, and cluster orchestration tools.
• Strong understanding of software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• MBA is a plus.
