Job Description

About the Role

In this role you will participate in web application software development for utility network management. Our customers are electricity, water and district heating utilities and our products are used in their core processes in network life cycle management. The purpose of this position is to lead a software development team successfully while participating yourself also in the development. In the tech lead part you plan work for others and make sure they succeed in their tasks. You collaborate effectively with other teams and make sure teams work effectively together. You are interested in agile work, processes and people. In the developer part you develop parts of the web software being either full stack or backend developer. You are expected to work fluently and effectively with the used technologies. You will also participate in testing, fixing, documentation and other tasks supporting the development. You have a passion for lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in web application software development for utility network management, including development, testing, fixing, and documentation.
  • Lead a software development team by planning work, managing scrum meetings, and ensuring team success.
  • Participate in higher level project planning and task assignment for the team.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to improve processes and establish achievable requirements.
  • Coordinate with the team for timely delivery of work products and ensure quality through reviews.
  • Help maintain and archive design documents, source code, and other work products necessary for the project.
  • Work independently or with QA personnel to plan and execute product testing.
  • Provide engineering work products and documentation for product release and support ongoing software support activities.

Requirements

  • Expected work experience of 5+ years in software development.
  • Master of Science in Computer Engineering or an equivalent degree with a good score.
  • Proficiency in backend development, especially extensive knowledge of C#/.NET.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, databases, Visual Studio, and application programming.
  • Strong problem solving skills and proficiency in software architectures, algorithms, and engineering principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Willingness to comply with coding standards and best practices.
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills and experience with stakeholder workshops.
  • Proficiency in team leading, project planning, and agile methodologies including Scrum.

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in frontend development with React, Typescript, HTML, CSS.
  • Experience with Visual Studio Code, git workflows, Docker containers.
  • Interest in process development.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Computer Engineering or an equivalent degree with a good score.
